I could go take a run
And test who I am physically
I could sit and read a book
And understand who I am intellectually
I could listen to a record
And lose myself sonically
I could write a book or poem
And share myself verbally
I could paint a picture
And display myself chromatically
I could take photographs
And capture my inner self visually
I could invent something
And exercise myself creatively
I could build something
And expand myself handily
I could cook something
And refine myself tastefully
I could learn a new language
And connect with people linguistically
Or I could sit in front of the television
And watch my life slip from my hands
Frantically
