I added a beat to my words
Just to see what came out
And the concussive force of the combination
Nearly shook my house.
Never quite could figure out
The science of the beat
So I set myself to learn the ways
Of lips tongues and teeth
Of trying to find a way
To ignite a stage with speech
And deliver a lyrical cadence
That will sweep you off your feet.
Leave you breathless
